Gloria Estefan Is Once Again Sending Rhythm Energy, Over At NPR’s Tiny Desk.
The Cubana living legenda has pretty much concluded Hispanic Heritage Month, which ends tomorrow, October 15.

Miss Estefan razzled and dazzled with a 30-minute set. She, of course, had to perform her juggernaut timeless 1980s hit “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You.” Plus, she delivered new album tracks such as “Raíces”, a soulful homage to her cultural roots and musical legacy.
Never forget. Similar to INYIM Media, NPR Music celebrates artists from all corners of Latin America. We’re not just underground doing grassroots work—we’re also above surface, surfing the mainstream machines and the radio/streaming business that shape the commercial artists of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
As Gloria Estefan continues celebrating her 50-year retrospective, she reminds us why she remains an enduring, powerhouse pioneer in music and representation.
This is one Tiny Desk not to be missed. Estefan walked so the Becky Gs, Shakira, JLO, Nathy Peluso, SELENA, Cameron Diaz (she halfsies)… could run, do cartwheels, shake their cha-chas up and down.
She created the yellow brick road for ALL female and male Spanish artists—not only to record, but to make the non-Latinos of the world learn a new language in the land of America.
