Peacock has unleashed the very first trailer for action-thriller “PONIES,” starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson.

Synopsis: Moscow, 1977. Two “PONIES” (“persons of no interest” in intelligence speak) work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy. That is, until their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the USSR—and the pair suddenly become CIA operatives.
Bea (Emilia Clarke) is an over-educated, Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants. Her cohort, Twila (Haley Lu Richardson), is a small-town girl who’s as abrasive as she is fearless. Together, they dive headfirst into a vast Cold War conspiracy, determined to solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place.
The series drops January 15, 2026 exclusively on Peacock. (Trailer directed by Sam Hargrave, known for Extraction.) Expect a mix of smoky intrigue, sharp banter, and Cold War paranoia wrapped in a neon-slick lens.
Scope out the dynamic duo in action in this soon-to-be-released 1970s retro throwback with a modern espionage twist.
