Jean Paul Gaultier said the following in a press release:

“I find in him the energy, audacity and desire to have fun with
clothing that I had myself when I started out: the new enfant terrible of fashion. Welcome, Duran.”

Duran himself spilled saying:

“For me, Jean Paul Gaultier is a genius. He belongs to that generation of designers who opened the doors to freedom of expression, without having to apologise for who you are. It’s a real honour to become Creative Director of the House today. For me, Gaultier is the ultimate brand, one that combines a radical vision of fashion with unique expertise. It’s also a House that constantly challenges codes. It goes beyond the boundaries of fashion by integrating all cultural disciplines to create a perpetual creative movement. Jean Paul Gaultier is redefining the language of clothing and the way we wear it in the street.”

Brava-bravissimo to Duran Lantink as Creative Director of Jean Paul Gaultier!
