Carey Mulligan chats it up with Jimmy Kimmel on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel last week. The 24 year old actress(whom I happen to share the same bday with) divulged what it was like being raised in a hotel, catching up on Hollywood classics and her first impression of Pierce Brosnan.
“He was my Bond when we played Nintendo 64!” Carey laughed. “He was my Goldeneye…I’d seen a range of his films, so he wasn’t just Bond to me, but he kind of was.”
Fresh music, bold entertainment, and men’s fashion—one tight email a week.
Haha, boy oh boy, a video game I consider to have played an important title in the development of my shooting skills! My cousin and I were obsessed in the best possible way with this game and finding that Golden gun let me tell yah.
Oh and I promised in my last post (‘An Education’) that I’d report on miss Carey Mulligan’s performance in ‘An Education’. Let me tell you kiddas, although not my first choice of favorite film from this years list of award season contenders(I do prefer Precious & Up in the air). But with astounding writing, Englishman Nick Hornby has made a living crafting smart relationship tale set in early 1960s England between an older man and teenage girl.
It’s definitely a coming of age story, as the impressionable but incredibly bright Jenny, Mulligan is astounding, delivering a stellar performace. ‘Watching her go from the girl who dropped French phrases into regular conversation to the girl visiting Paris, we can feel her excitement in every little smile and twinkle of the eyes.’
