Brittany Howard & St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Tribute Tina Turner “The Best”

Brittany Howard joins the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for a soaring tribute to Tina Turner, performing “The Best” at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center.

Brittany Howard stepped into sacred musical territory as she joined the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for a powerful tribute to the one and only Tina Turner at St. Louis’ Jack C. Taylor Music Center. A fitting location, considering this is the city where Miss Turner — born in Nutbush, Tennessee — first carved her path, lighting up St. Louis nightclubs long before the world knew her name.

For us, this moment hits even deeper. Brittany, once upon a time, was a regular “house account” at a job we once occupied — a tiny shared sliver of history that makes seeing her on this stage feel beautifully full‑circle.

As part of the salute, our girlie Brittany joined the orchestra to howl out Turner’s iconic anthem “The Best,” channeling raw soul, grit, and gratitude into every note. Her voice soared over the arrangement, honoring Tina’s fire while bringing her own unmistakable electricity to the performance.

Filmed on location at Powell Hall inside the Jack C. Taylor Music Center in St. Louis, MO, the tribute stands as a love letter to Turner’s legacy — and a reminder of the artists she continues to inspire.
