Peaches

Peaches is a Canadian singer, musician, producer and performance artist whose confrontational electroclash helped define the genre at the turn of the millennium. Born Merrill Nisker in Toronto and later based in Berlin, she built a fiercely independent sound from punk, electronic music, hip-hop and glam. The Teaches of Peaches and its enduring track “Fuck the Pain Away” established a body of work centered on sexual autonomy, gender, humor and deliberately provocative live performance.
