Lime are a Canadian dance act created in Montreal by Denyse LePage and Nini Nobless, formerly known as Denis LePage. Emerging in 1980, the project became a defining force in Hi-NRG and post-disco through synthesizer-heavy records including “Your Love,” “Babe, We’re Gonna Love Tonite,” “Angel Eyes” and “Unexpected Lovers.” Lime’s studio work helped establish the sleek electronic pulse that would dominate 1980s club music, while later performers carried the act’s catalog onstage. The original recordings remain closely associated with Montreal’s influential early electronic-dance scene.
