Franz Ferdinand

Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in the early 2000s. Their 2004 self-titled debut turned taut guitars, danceable rhythms and art-school wit into an international breakthrough led by “Take Me Out,” “This Fire” and “The Dark of the Matinée.” Albums including You Could Have It So Much Better, Tonight, Right Thoughts Right Words Right Action, Always Ascending and The Human Fear have kept the group moving between post-punk, indie rock, funk and dance-rock while preserving the sharp rhythmic attack that made them instantly recognizable.
