She’s coming! Amy Poehler shall make her grand return to host Saturday Night Live for the first time in a decade this weekend, October 11—and it’s not just any episode. It marks the 50th anniversary of SNL’s very first broadcast, which aired on October 11, 1975.
As she gears up for the big night, Amy hilariously admits she has no idea who any of the freshman cast members are. But in true Poehler fashion, she plays it off like she’s known them forever.

In the delightfully absurd promo, the Good Hang podcast creator comes face-to-face with new featured players Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska. She greets them with lines like, “There’s my guy! Remember when we used to tear it up back in 2005?” to which Patterson deadpans, “I was six.” Classic Poehler chaos.
She even jokes, “I thought I was coming into this building to get a mammogram and it turns out I’m hosting,” before mistaking a closet for an elevator and referring to a plant as a person.
