Allow Us To Re-Introduce You To, The Magnificent & Magical, ShitKid’s “Sugar Town.”

Shit Kid’s underground deep cut “Sugar Town” from Fish explodes in a chaotic, brilliant live moment, now enhanced with official album audio.

ShitKid Sugar Town energy — because some songs don’t politely enter your ears, they kick the door in and start rearranging the furniture.

The magnificent & magical, singer-songwriter ShitKid performing the indie underground deep cut “Sugar Town” from her debut album Fish is exactly that kind of moment: raw, off-kilter, and quietly iconic if you know, you know.

We took the live performance footage and dubbed it over the enhanced official album audio — an exclusive performance via Live at SXSW 2018 and PressureDrop.tv. This isn’t some polished studio relic; it’s a live moment full of immediacy and unpredictability.

And honestly? The live take is chaotic and brilliant — the kind where rhythms dip, vocals snag, and everything feels like it’s teetering on the edge of swinging into something bigger. It’s messy, hypnotic, and completely anti-polish — exactly where Shit Kid thrives.

This isn’t a performance, it’s a controlled unraveling — and somehow that’s the magic.

Who Is ShitKid? (Artist Bio)

ShitKid is the project of Åsa Söderqvist, a Swedish singer-songwriter and producer known for her lo-fi, DIY approach to indie pop. Based in Stockholm, she builds songs that feel intimate, messy, and emotionally direct — the kind of tracks that sound like they were made in a bedroom but hit like they belong on a cult soundtrack.

Her debut album Fish introduced her off-kilter style: fuzzy guitars, warped pop melodies, and lyrics that live somewhere between diary entry and late-night confession. The Shit Kid sound sits comfortably in that space where indie, dream-pop, and experimental collide — never overproduced, never too polished, always human.

In short: ShitKid makes music that feels accidentally perfect.

If you’re into indie that lives in the cracks between genres — part lo-fi, part dream-state, part emotional whiplash — “Sugar Town” hits like a secret you weren’t supposed to hear yet.
