Sunday Brings Big Attitude and a Five-Minute Friendly Fires Escape
Flo Milli comes in gloriously self-assured on “Too Bo$$y,” while Friendly Fires stretch “Lose All Your Friends” into a five-minute dance release. One track flips a familiar Kelis touchstone into fresh rap swagger; the other brings Friendly Fires back with the kind of rhythmic release that makes disappearing onto the dancefloor sound like a perfectly sensible Sunday plan.
Two tracks. Two discoveries. One daily detour.
Come Thru Vocals is INYIM’s long-running daily music discovery series spotlighting voices and songs worth hearing. Selections may also move into Musique Dig’s Weekly Playlist and rotation on INYIM Radio.
Flo Milli
Tune: “Too Bo$$y”
WHY IT CAUGHT OUR EAR
Released August 14, “Too Bo$$y” takes the attitude of Kelis’ 2006 “Bossy” and gives it a very Flo Milli 2026 reset. The production leaves plenty of room for her clipped, confident delivery, turning an already cocky reference point into something that sounds completely at home in her own catalog.
Friendly Fires
Tune: “Lose All Your Friends”
WHY IT CAUGHT OUR EAR
Friendly Fires released “Lose All Your Friends” on August 26, a full five-minute return that gives the trio room to settle back into their dance-minded lane rather than rush the payoff. It also points toward the next chapter: the track is set to appear on Dig Deeper, their 11-song album due January 15, 2027.
Come back for the next daily detour. Keep discovering in the Come Thru Vocals archive, hear the week’s six strongest finds in Musique Dig’s Weekly Playlist, and keep the music moving on INYIM Radio.
