Noah Jupe Takes His Moody Stride Straight Onto Miu Miu’s Runway

Jupe has sat front row at plenty of fashion shows, but this time he was the one doing the walking. Speaking with British GQ after the show, the 21-year-old admitted he had never really thought of himself as a model — “definitelyyy not” — even if the idea had always made him curious.

He Kept the Nerves Away With F1 and a Cheeky Dart
Backstage, Jupe’s strategy was basically not to overthink any of it. He watched the Bahrain Grand Prix while getting his hair done, slipped out for what he called a “cheeky dart”, and saved the nerves for the exact moment he had to get into line.
Once he did, the actor decided the walk needed a little attitude. He described it as a “moodier walk” than his usual one — all stride, all commitment — while still making sure the actual models knew he was only visiting their profession for the afternoon.
Miu Miu Had Actually Asked Him the Season Before
The runway debut nearly happened six months earlier. Jupe told GQ that Miu Miu had approached him for the previous season, but he had to turn it down because he was in rehearsals for Romeo and Juliet. When the invitation came back around, this time with familiar faces including Emma Corrin, Igby Rigney and Jamie Bell, he went for it.
And he was hardly alone in the celebrity-heavy cast. Miu Miu’s official SS27 lineup also included Olivia Colman, Gigi Hadid, Louisa Jacobson, Chandler Kinney, Ella Bleu Travolta, Katherine Waterston and Liu Wen, among others. The show, presented at Paris’s Palais d’Iéna, mixed sportswear and tailoring with the kind of odd little collisions Miuccia Prada does so well.
The Miu Miu Menswear Question Is Part of the Fun
Jupe also phoned up GQ to talk about Miu Miu menswear, embracing his height and shopping womenswear — which makes him a particularly good fit for a collection built around clothes crossing categories rather than staying obediently inside them.
For SS27, Miu Miu folded sportswear into tailoring, mixed technical pieces with satin and gauze, and continued its Wrangler upcycling project alongside a new New Balance RC150 collaboration. It is exactly the kind of wardrobe where a young actor can turn up for his first catwalk and look less like a celebrity stunt and more like he naturally wandered into the casting.
This was all done before walking the catwalk with fellow faces such as Olivia Colman, Jamie Bell, Igby Rigney and Emma Corrin. Busy boy indeed.
