Haider Ackermann Pushes Tom Ford’s Seduction Right to the Edge

Just In, Breaking Style: Tom Ford creative director Haider Ackermann unleashed the house’s Spring/Summer 2027 runway collection in Paris, leaning straight into the sensuality that has always lived at the core of the Tom Ford name.
The collection arrived inside a dim, mirror-walled setting, with models moving through their own reflections and one another as Ackermann pushed the house’s signature tension between precision and exposure. Tailoring stayed razor sharp, but the mood was anything but buttoned-up.
“Seduction is the pillar on which this house is built.”

For SS27, Ackermann reinforced his own quite derriere vision of sensuality for the house, fusing tailored looks with barely-there threads and letting the tension do the heavy lifting. There are flashes of skin, glossy surfaces, sculpted lines and clothes that seem designed to reveal just enough before pulling back again.
That push-and-pull is the whole game. Ackermann described wanting to take seduction “closer to danger,” and the collection follows through without turning the runway into one long obvious proposition. The sex appeal sits in the cut, the posture, the reveal and what is deliberately left unsaid.

Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2027 Runway Looks

There is still the familiar Tom Ford promise of clothes that know exactly what they are doing to the room. Under Ackermann, though, the seduction feels more restrained and slightly more dangerous — less wink, more tremor under the skin.
