Your favorite Animal Control officers are back! FOX’s workplace comedy has returned for Season 5, and the cast is already previewing another round of animals, workplace warfare and the kind of human messiness that always seems to cause more trouble than the creatures themselves.

The new season brings an adorable new precinct cast member named Ham Solo, Ken Jeong is back to make everyone’s lives a living hell, and — wait for it — could Frank and Templeton finally bury the hatchet?!

Season 5 Moves the Precinct — and the Comedy — Into Sundays

Animal Control Season 5 premiered Sunday, September 27 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on FOX, moving the live-action comedy into the network’s Sunday lineup after The Simpsons.

Joel McHale returns as Frank Shaw, alongside Michael Rowland as Fred “Shred” Taylor, Vella Lovell as Emily Price, Ravi Patel as Amit Patel and Grace Palmer as Victoria Sands. Gerry Dee and Kyla Pratt also return as Templeton Dudge and Daisy.

The Season 5 premiere, “Seahawks and Piglets,” wastes no time putting Frank back in the middle of it. He leads the team in a work stoppage — until the ultimate animal-control call pulls him away: recovering the Seattle Seahawks’ missing mascot.

FOX’s own Season 5 preview promises exactly the kind of nonsense we want from this crew: new animals, old grudges, Ken Jeong stirring the pot and a possible Frank-and-Templeton ceasefire that we will believe when we actually see it.

New episodes air Sundays on FOX, with streaming availability through Hulu and FOX’s streaming partners after broadcast.
