“Get On Up” does exactly what the title promises and wastes very little time getting there. REESE and Futosé keep the track lean and fast, working inside a UK garage/bassline frame where rhythm and low-end pressure do most of the talking. At 138 BPM, it has that useful combination of speed and restraint: enough shove for the floor without burying the hook under too much production.

“PLZ HOLD” feels like three scenes meeting under one strobe: Snakehips from London, Austin Millz from New York and Tkay Maidza bringing the vocal spark. The production reworks a familiar sample lineage rooted in Enoch Light and The Light Brigade’s 1975 “Hi-Jack,” but the record never feels stuck looking backward; Tkay’s clipped, confident delivery keeps pulling it into right now. At barely two and a half minutes, it gets in, makes its point and leaves the pulse behind.
