Luenell came to Lip Service taken, thriving and completely unfiltered

Comedian extraordinaire Luenell has entered the Lip Service chat — and naturally, discretion does not survive for very long.
On Episode 569, fittingly titled “The Freak Within,” Luenell joins Angela Yee, GiGi Maguire, Jordy and Akeem Woods for an hour-plus conversation that moves from love and relationship rules to her Las Vegas run, celebrity encounters, career ambitions and the kind of stories only Luenell can tell with a completely straight face.

First things first: Luenell is taken — and she wants you to know
One of the episode’s biggest reveals is that Luenell has turned a 15-year friendship with Al B. Sure! into a relationship.
She is very much enjoying letting the world know she has somebody, while also joking that Al is trying to teach her the ancient art of keeping a few things private. Good luck with that on Lip Service.
That opens the floodgates to a larger conversation about what she will and will not tolerate in a relationship, communication dealbreakers, cheating in her past and why disappearing for days is simply not going to work.
Vegas is treating Luenell like the headliner she is
The conversation also gets into Luenell’s Las Vegas residency and what it means to have carved out that space for herself after decades in comedy.
And because celebrity stories seem to simply locate Luenell wherever she goes, she recalls Samuel L. Jackson unexpectedly turning up to one of her comedy shows.
That is part of the charm here: one minute everybody is talking relationships, the next Luenell is casually pulling another famous name out of a career that has put her in rooms with seemingly everybody.
Luenell still has bigger plans than just making everybody laugh
For all the wonderfully wild conversation, there is ambition underneath it. Luenell talks about wanting her own talk show and already has a dream guest in mind: Michelle Obama.
She also discusses an upcoming book and makes it clear she has no interest in sanding herself down for the page. If you are buying a Luenell book, apparently you are getting Luenell — not a cleaned-up approximation approved by twelve people in a conference room.
The Freak Within keeps finding its way back out
Of course, this is still Lip Service, so the conversation does not stay on career goals and wholesome relationship milestones forever.
The group gets into dating, bedroom boundaries, Love Island, old relationship disasters and more than enough personal history to justify the episode title. Luenell is candid, hilarious and — as usual — completely uninterested in pretending she has always behaved perfectly.
That willingness to laugh at herself is what keeps the whole thing moving. Even when the subject gets personal, she has a way of turning the confession into the punchline before anybody else gets the chance.
