Mike Myers Turned The TTC Into His Own Tiny Dance Floor
The shagalicious man himself brought a proper spoonful of whimsy to Toronto this week when Mike Myers decided an ordinary TTC commute needed a little choreography.
The Toronto-born comic shared a reel of himself dancing through a subway station while a keyboard-playing busker supplied the soundtrack, turning the concourse into a tiny improvised stage as commuters mostly carried on with their day.

Apparently It Is Kinda Chic To Dance In The Subway
Myers captioned the moment “kinda chic to dance in the subway,” joining the social trend with a few leaps, turns and gloriously committed ballet-ish moves of his own.
There is something especially funny about seeing one of Canada’s most recognizable comedy exports going full physical-comedy mode in public while the people around him react like this is simply Thursday on the TTC.
The Commuters Barely Seemed To Clock Who Was Dancing
That may be the best part. Myers is hopping around only feet away from people trying to catch their train, yet there is no screaming crowd, no giant celebrity commotion and barely any interruption to the usual subway rhythm.
Some Toronto viewers identified the location as Bloor-Yonge station, although Myers did not label the station in the reel itself. Either way, the online reaction was wonderfully local: plenty of people admitted they probably would have assumed he was just another especially enthusiastic TTC character and kept walking.
The Austin Powers Energy Has Clearly Never Left The Building
For anybody immediately hearing an Austin Powers soundtrack in their head, you are not alone. Myers has always had a wonderfully strange relationship with dance as comedy — from Austin’s exaggerated swagger to the famous Sprockets declaration, “Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance.”
This time there is no costume, no movie set and no elaborate gag. It is just Mike, a subway station, a musician and the confidence to suddenly behave like the floor has become a stage.
At 63, he also looks genuinely delighted to be doing it, which may be why the clip lands so well. The whole thing feels less like celebrity content engineered by committee and more like somebody briefly deciding the day would be better if it got a little sillier.
