Rinko Kikuchi stars as Haru, who shares a love of competitive ballroom dancing with her husband, Luis, played by Alejandro Edda. After tragedy tears through their life together, Haru retreats from the world. Her friends eventually coax her back into the studio, where a new instructor—played by Alberto Guerra—stirs up an unexpected infatuation and forces her to confront grief, desire and whatever comes next.
Josef Kubota Wladyka directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Nicholas Huynh. The film also stars YOU and Yoh Yoshida, and it arrives with real festival heat after winning Best Directing — U.S. Dramatic at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
