Sonia Carrasco Turns Garment Construction Into The Main Character
Sonia Carrasco brought the drama to Paris with ACT II: SOBREMESA, a Spring/Summer 2027 collection that knows the best conversations usually happen after the meal, when the table is still messy and everyone finally starts telling the truth.
Presented during Paris Fashion Week, the collection takes the hidden parts of clothing and pushes them straight into the light. Seams, linings, stitching, structure, and construction are not tucked away here. They are the whole point.
That is very Sonia Carrasco: elegant, technical, quietly rebellious, and allergic to clothes that only want to look pretty from far away.
INYIM Style Note
Into the SOBREMESA mood? Think visible seams, long table energy, precise tailoring, soft neutrals, and the kind of inside-out construction that makes a garment speak first.

The title, SOBREMESA, carries that delicious post-dinner charge: the lingering, the talking, the little truths that fall out once the formal part is over. Carrasco translated that feeling into a co-ed wardrobe built around exposure, process, and the intimacy of how a piece is made.
Think structured blazers, pleated trench coats, straight-leg trousers, waist-cinched skirts, long basting stitches, and a neutral palette that moves through grey, black, beige, and camel. Nothing screams. Everything pulls you closer.
The finale had its own little gasp built in: a floor-length waistcoat moment with an exposed back, turning classic tailoring into something more vulnerable, more architectural, and very much ready for its close-up.
It is fashion with the seams showing on purpose. Not unfinished. Not undone. Just honest enough to remind you that construction can be the most seductive part of the whole garment.
