R.I.P…Gone But Never-Ever Forgotten: There Was Only One Catherine O’Hara.

Catherine O’Hara has passed away at 71, leaving behind a legacy of brilliance — and for us, personal memories that made her feel especially close.

She was the whole talented package.

Eight years ago — ironically, to this exact week in January — we can still remember sitting beside you, right in the front theater seats, for your premiere with the rest of the Schitt’s Creek cast. Watching your face and talent come of age meant something profound.

Having an affinity and desire for the true art form of journalism and media reporting for the past 40 years — decades of indie grassroots to mainstream viral hits — we hardly ever speak on our own success. Thousands of celebrity friendships, temporary relationships, encounters, and moments have come and gone. But being with you to celebrate such a project at the time was different.

From Kate McCallister to Delia Deetz to Sally… it was a full‑circle INYIM Media moment in the making.

Now rest. You brought to this world what any altruistic, genuine human hopes to leave behind: euphoric laughter, bright charm, discernment, and honest entertainment.

We’ll leave it here with one of Catherine’s own truths:

“I think the success of my work stems from being truthful.”

Which Catherine O’Hara role lives forever in your heart — Kate, Delia, Moira, or one of her deep‑cut classics? Mourn with us below!
