Set to release on February 12, 2027, the real-life sisters will portray sisters in the upcoming feature film adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s best-selling novel The Nightingale.
The story follows Vianne and Isabelle, two sisters living in France during World War II, whose paths diverge dramatically—one joins the Resistance, while the other remains home to care for her family.
Although Dakota and Elle have previously portrayed the same character at different ages in earlier projects, this marks the first time they will share the screen as co-stars.

The film is being produced by the Fanning sisters, along with Reese Witherspoon for Hello Sunshine, among other collaborators. It will be directed by Michael Morris. More details to come!
