Mary J. Blige has released the single “Thick Of It” in the midst of her very public divorce from Husband/Manager. Blige speaks on the track to Rolling Stone magazine – “This song is so personal it’s almost painful to let out,” Blige previously said about the song. “I don’t hold back though. It’s not who I am and there’s now way I am going to start changing now. We all deal with love and the emotions that we get tangled up in, and we gotta survive, grow and remain honest to our best selves.”
The track is from the singer’s upcoming LP, Strength of a Woman and if this is the return of sad and angry Mary then we may have a hit on the horizon.
