“Aviva Jifei Xue is a menswear design senior graduate at Parsons. For her Thesis and first collection, Aviva was inspired by Buddhist clothing and vintage textiles.
This collection started by researching the silhouettes and the making of traditional garments and textures on old fabrics. The silhouettes are mostly loose and oversized with the soft touch of fabric. Most of the garments are made of natural fabrics that Aviva sourced in Japan and naturally dyed into khaki and indigo colors and later adding on matching color patches not only for decoration but also for some reinforcement.
