In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Pee-wee’s Big Adventure this summer, the Alamo has officially acquired the original screen-used stunt bike from the film.
The museum announced via its Instagram that the bike will be permanently displayed in the upcoming Alamo Visitor Center and Museum, opening in Fall 2027. While it will be another two years before fans can view it at the new venue, the museum shared that the beloved piece of movie magic will be available for a limited-time showing inside the Ralston Family Collection Center.
To mark the occasion, the Alamo will also host a free public screening of the film in the newly reopened Plaza de Valero. Until then, the museum reassured fans the bike will be “stored for safekeeping. Maybe in the basement!”

The iconic prop was previously sold at a memorabilia auction to a private collector for $125,000.
