Talk about a “What?!” moment. Apparently way back in 2006 hit maker Pharrell and Stone Temple Pilots legend Scott Weiland worked on a track together that would become Pharrell’s own huge world hit single “Happy.”
Scott Weiland and Pharrell Williams’ previously unreleased version of “Happy” has surfaced online nearly a decade after it was originally recorded on the discussion section of Weiland’s PledgeMusic site, where a streaming link was shared. Weiland and Williams recorded the song in 2006, but Williams decided to keep the song for himself, so Weiland could not release the song. The copy is from a very limited edition Happy in Galoshes promo CD sent out in 2008. Via alternativenation.net
