Prabal Gurung Unveils First-Ever Print Campaign for Spring 2014

Fashionista.com takes a look at designer Prabal Gurung’s first print ad’s and they are one to flip the pages for.

While Prabal Gurung has released beautiful ad campaigns in seasons past — starring the likes of Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls and Julia Saner — none have them have ever gone to print. That’s changing for Spring 2014, and the designer, who’s been a champion of online-only campaigns, just revealed his first print ads in WWD.

Shot by Dan Jackson and styled by Gurung’s longtime collaborator Tina Laakkonen, the campaign stars model Liya Kebede and features a futuristic piece from the designer’s standout spring collection. Gurung didn’t go entirely old-school, however: The designer teased the campaign with a mysterious video of a burning rose on Instagram and slowly revealed the campaign star through a series of tweets. – fashionista.com
