Must-See Thriller! ‘The Housemaid’ Official Teaser Starring Sydney Sweeney & Amanda Seyfried.

The Housemaid Is Coming This Holiday Season With More Spook and Cray Cray Activity

Get ready to clutch your pearls and double-lock your doors—The Housemaid is about to serve up psychological thrills, seductive secrets, and holiday-season chaos when it hits theaters on December 19, 20252.

Directed by the ever-versatile Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, A Simple Favor), this twisted tale is based on the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden, adapted for the screen by Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys, The Vampire Diaries)2.

Starring:

  • Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria, Anyone But You) as Millie Calloway, a young woman with a checkered past and a dangerously curious streak
  • Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout, Mamma Mia!) as Nina Winchester, the wealthy wife with a sinister smile
  • Brandon Sklenar (1923) as Andrew Winchester, the enigmatic husband caught in a web of lies
  • Michele Morrone (365 Days) as Enzo, the mysterious groundskeeper with smoldering intensity
  • Elizabeth Perkins (Sharp Objects) as Evelyn Winchester, adding old-school gravitas to the twisted household

Official Synopsis:

“The film plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems. Trying to escape her past, Millie (Sweeney) accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Sklenar). But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous — a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. Behind the Winchesters’ closed doors lies a world of shocking twists that will leave you guessing until the very end.”2

Shot in New Jersey earlier this year, The Housemaid is a Lionsgate release, produced by Hidden Pictures and Pretty Dangerous Pictures, with executive producers including Sweeney, Seyfried, and McFadden herself.

Set to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” in the trailer, the film promises a stylish, sinister ride that’s perfect for fans of Gone Girl, The Handmaid’s Tale, and A Simple Favor.
