Missy Elliott is letting it be known to the public and fans—she wants her tune from the Shark Tale soundtrack featuring Christina Aguilera on streaming.

Via X, Missy tagged both Universal Music Group and Geffen Records, telling them to put out the 2004 underground cult‑classic “Car Wash.”
Produced by DreamWorks, the animated film Shark Tale starred both musical titans. But it was the rap legend who responded to a follower devastated that the song wasn’t available to listen to.
“@UMG @GeffenRecords the fans tagged me wanting to know why the song ‘Car Wash’ on #Sharktale soundtrack not on streaming sites,” she wrote. “Can you please help out because many of them have been asking as you can see and miss it.”

The track closed out the film, with Christina on lead vocals and Missy dropping shark‑themed bars. (It was originally released as part of the Shark Tale soundtrack CD in September 2004 via DreamWorks Records.)
Fun fact: the soundtrack also featured Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, and Justin Timberlake, making “Car Wash” one of the standout collabs of that era.
Let’s get to it together Universal and Geffen! CHOP CHOP.
