Michelle Obama let it be known on a brand sparkling fresh episode of her and brother Craig Robinson’s “IMO” podcast: when it comes to older sis Malia, she told Barack—
“I’d say this to Barack, when it comes to, you know, [our] oldest, Malia, she is going to figure out who you are, what do you like and let’s discuss it,” Michelle said, calling it an “unusual” trait for someone her age.
The former forever First Lady remembers Malia always warming up to the 44th Prez.
“When Malia was a teenager, it wasn’t that she was going out any less or doing anything differently,” Michelle continued. “She would tell me, ‘I’m going out this weekend, but I’m going to go in and give dad like 15 minutes.’”
Michelle also spilled that Malia would ask him about political topics.
“She’d go into the Treaty Room and be like, ‘Tell me about Syria,’” Michelle dished. Barack would emerge saying, “I just had an amazing conversation with Malia.”
Michelle, with signature sarcasm, followed with: “I’m like, ‘Ok.’”
But Sasha? A whole different vibe. She was already singing “They not like us” before the track was even conceived. Sasha beez in the trap. She wasn’t focused on pleasing her pops—something Barack apparently struggled with over the years.
“Sasha is like a cat,” Michelle hilariously said. “She’s like, ‘Don’t touch me, don’t pet me. I’m not pleasing you. You come to me.’”
The mom of two said Barack called Sasha “difficult,” prompting Michelle to clarify that their youngest simply wasn’t a people pleaser like Malia.
