JMeryl Streep was told what now?! Oh no King Kong didn’t. Eighteen-time Oscar nominee spilled the deets on “The Graham Norton Show” saying that producer Dino De Laurentiis, didn’t quite cut the smoke and mirrors department when it came to protraying leading lady Dwan, in “King Kong.”
As quoted, Streep said, it was the mid 1970s and she was asked to audition for De Laurentiis by hthe request of his son.
Laurentiis was recalled sneakishly boistering in Italian, “Why do you bring me this ugly thing?” “Very sobering as a young girl,” said Streep.
