Brand Matières Fécales, created by Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran, storms Paris Fashion Week with a razor‑sharp, socially charged themed collection entitled “The One Percent.” The duo brings their trademark blend of provocation, futurism, and sculptural rebellion to the runway, turning fashion into a mirror held up to class, privilege, and the systems that shape us.
The show’s emotional core comes straight from Steven Raj Bhaskaran, who reflects on the pair’s contrasting upbringings — a story that becomes the heartbeat of the collection.

“I grew up in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Montréal called Cartierville and Hannah grew up in the richest neighborhood, Westmount… She was born with a set of privileges due to her skin colour and I was born with a different set due to mine… our clashing upbringings has given us the ability to not just experience one side of the coin, but both and our love for one another is the glue that ties our conflicting worlds together.” — Steven Raj Bhaskaran
That duality — privilege and struggle, softness and severity, access and exclusion — threads through every silhouette. The garments feel like armor and confession at once, merging sharp tailoring with dystopian edge, sculpted forms with raw emotional truth. It’s a collection that doesn’t just dress the body; it interrogates the world around it.
Matières Fécales once again proves that fashion can be both a weapon and a love letter — a confrontation and a collaboration.
