Gulp and hooray! Nicholas Galitzine and Bill Skarsgård play secret lovers… okay, perhaps they don’t play closeted lovebirds. However, they do co-star in Netflix’s upcoming movie The Mosquito Bowl.
Also starring: Ray Nicholson, Tom Francis, Brent Comer, and Pat McAfee.
Directed and co-written by Peter Berg, the film is already stirring buzz as Netflix has unleashed the first photos from the set.
This tale is based on the true story of four top American college football stars who set their fame aside to enlist in the Marines following the attack on Pearl Harbor. As they prepare for the brutal invasion of Okinawa, they’ll play in a legendary game featuring some of the greatest players in history—a game that, for many, will be the last they ever play.
Adapted from Buzz Bissinger’s acclaimed book, The Mosquito Bowl: A Game of Life and Death in World War II, the film promises a gripping blend of brotherhood, sacrifice, and the fleeting glory of sport in wartime.
