Robin Miriam Carlsson, Aka Robyn was born yesterday on June 12th in 1979. Aside from being a favorite here at the offices, in case you didn’t already know, our little Robyn is a brilliant and innovative Swedish singer-songwriter who’s been making musique for two decades now. Known in the 90s for her pop hits like “Show Me Love” and “Do You Really Want Me” (a track I owned back in Junior High in CD single format). Robyn later became disappointed with her record label at the time (Jive) and decided to take a break from musique to regain complete creative control of her art.
Well it was only a matter of time until she gained worldwide success following her hit album simply entitled ‘Robyn’. With hit single such as “With Every Heartbeat” and “Be Mine”, Robyn has proved she has no plans on going anywhere!

Konichiwa Records (which Robyn started-up after leaving Jive) signed an international licensing deal with Universal Music Group to distribute Robyn’s music all around the world. Robyn’s latest and most successful venture to date has been the Body Talk series in which she is slowly becoming a mainstream music name with her single ‘Dancing on my Own’, and her latest single ‘Call Your Girlfriend’.
I don’t think of myself as just as pop artist, but someone who knows she has a bigger meaning. I’m not doing this for myself; I’m doing this because it’s my destiny.
