Grindr has partnered with Rainbow Wool to unleash “I Wool Survive.” Via the runway in New York.
The collection is camp yet quaint and sexy. Thread pieces that are gay-oriented but not exclusive. Designed by Michael Schmidt.
Michael Schmidt, the Los Angeles–based fashion and accessories designer who’s long been known as a “rock and roll designer.” He’s created custom pieces for icons like Debbie Harry, Cher, Tina Turner, Madonna, Elton John, Grace Jones, Dolly Parton, and many more
Why we love it: it’s fashion with a wink and a cause—threads that carry both style and story.

Dig out a brief recent history of R.W.!
“If you haven’t heard of Rainbow Wool, it’s recently gone viral. A German farm that rescues rams who prefer other rams. Shepherd Michael Stücke, founder of Rainbow Wool, explained on the Grindr site that studies suggest roughly one in twelve rams exhibit same-sex attraction—and tragically, many of these animals are typically slaughtered.

By saving these sheep and transforming their wool into garments, Stücke says the collaboration “proves that being gay is part of nature itself.”
