Friday Whimsy! Autumn’s Arrival in The Angeles National Forest.

From August to October 2025, wild visitors passed through the creek—caught on a Browning trail cam that survived a rain-fueled ride downstream.

Here’s a couple of months of wild residents passing through the creek—from August 2025 to October 2025. (Coyotes, deer, raccoons, and the occasional conejo maleo himself—nature’s roll call in motion.)

This camera was recently moved to the side, onto a drier pathway off to the right of the picture. When the camera guy went to check it a couple of weeks ago, it was gone! Washed away by the rain and carried down the creek a few hundred feet.

He was so happy to find it stuck in the mud—but still working. Now that’s a built-tough Browning trail camera right there. (Resilient gear for unpredictable terrain.)

To be continued. (We’ve got more forest tales coming—stay tuned for the next wild drop.)
