You kiddas probably have never seen a “white strawberry” before(well i hadn’t). This different fruit “white strawberry” can be seen on supermarket shelves in the UK. It looks exactly like a faded strawberry but it’s not a strawberry! It’s a new kind of fruit called “Pineberry” with the shape of strawberry but a taste of pineapple, this is why it’s called “Pineberry”,

Apparently, i’ve learned that this Pineberry originated in South America where it grew wild and when only in season. It has the same genetic make-up as the common strawberry. The fruit turns from green to white and is ripe when the seeds turn dark red.
It almost extinct seven years ago but Dutch farmers managed to save it. Now it is grown commercially in glasshouses. Interesting, now which of my fine Brits is going to send me a lovely box full of these yummies!!?? Hmm???
