While performing this past Sunday in Las Vegas, English rock singer-songwriter Elton John took a moment from his set to dedicate a song to the departed Whitney Houston sharing a few words with the lucky audience at the sold out show.
“This is really a sad day today. Producing have to know right now that Whitney Houston died today. All I wish to discuss is her music,” Elton told everyone else. “You forget, with the troubles she experienced, how incredibly brilliant this lady was. She could sing Porgy & Bess, she could sing gospel, she could sing I’ll Always Adore You thus making you cry. She was the most amazing lady I’ve seen.”
