Whether your stripes are wide, thin, colorful, or nautical, it’s safe to say, your wardrobe essentials are in fine form. At least for the S/S season that is. The timeless nautical stripes are derived from the uniforms of French sailors.
1980’s New Wave group Duran Duran apparently knew all about this fashion fad. It was thee early 1980’s, and the photo opt above, truly defined how to wear and combine in different ways the nautical stripes. All members of the group chose either a gray sports jacket, a polka dot scarf, or just the stripe jersey itself, while strutting the classic design.
