Shoe designer Brian Atwood is causing a internet frenzy with his latest campaign titled “The Sex Is In The Heel” because of the overly sexualized women in his latest heel collection that even has us wondering what the big deal is.
In a interview with fashionista.com the designer had this to say about the apparent ban
Fresh music, bold entertainment, and men’s fashion—one tight email a week.
“I don’t understand why it’s controversial,” Atwood told me. “I’ve been doing this for 11 years, it’s always the same. I think that Fifty Shades of Grey kind of started this thing. But it’s been out since the Story of O.”
So it’s true they’ve been banned?
“Yes, but I don’t understand why,” he said again. “It’s a gorgeous girl in gorgeous shoes. There’s nothing wrong with having a fantasy. If people think that’s porno they obviuosly haven’t seen a porn in a while.”
Fair enough. Actually, I feel bad for people who think that his steamy commercial is as good as porn, I told Atwood.
“Yeah I do too,” he agreed. “They should look at it more often.”
Too hot for retail? Never hot enough we say!
