As you may recall from my weekend post kiddas, I attended the Brewery art walk here in Los Angeles over the weekend which is a twice annual open studio weekend at the worlds largest art complex. With over 100 participating resident artists, you have the opportunity to see new works, discover new favorites, and well if your like me, speak with the artists and yap away about anything and everything! You are able to purchase artwork directly from the artists at studio prices all on a former Pabst Blue Ribbon factory grounds.

I met a number of great artist and designers such as
Cielo Pessione
whose Guinea Bissolati neck piece I simply fell in love with! Beautifully sewn and adorned with buttons and a textile piece she informed me was an original cut of her famous Italian grandfathers original early 1900’s neck tie – Actor, cinema and theatre director Aldo Fabrizi

Of course I HAD to have this and I must say both Cielo and I will be working on future projects that shall leave you kiddas all shook up! Also, its now a great piece to add to my collection and a piece of Cielo’s life and world theatre/film history. Honored, I am!
