Angelina Jolie: Maleficent in the Making?

Back in the beginning of the year, Disney released a statement stating that their studios will be retelling the classic Sleeping Beauty from villain Maleficent’s perspective.

“The LA Times is now reporting that within the last few weeks, Angelina Jolie has expressed interest in playing the titular villain!”

Director Tim Burton is also rumored to join the project but no deals are in place for either. Being that the news is already sounding quite saucy as it is, should be interesting to see who actually signs on from this point…
