The new Japanese girl group 1st mini-album entitled, ‘NEW DNA,’ is about embracing the ultimate confidence in your very ow skin. Like we’ve said since the beginning, (2009) “Be Yourself On Purpose.”
XG is a seven-member girl group via XGALX label. The group consists of: HARVEY, JURIN, CHISA, COCONA, HINATA, MAYA, and JURIA.
Despite being all Japanese members, the group is based and promoted mainly in South Korea, singing primarily in English. XG has a genuine variety of concepts and genres. Which is quite visible in their accompanying music video.
The group’s name, XG, stands for ‘Xtraordinary Girls’ and means ‘out of the ordinary, breaking the mold, thinking outside the box.’
Here’s a wild fact we learned while doing our homework and researching. The eighth person, currently a member of Kep1er—Ezaki Hikaru—is set to join XG after her contract expires in July 2024.
