Today’s Whimsy spotlights our friend, the ever‑compassionate Alicia Silverstone, who jumped into action the moment she learned a pregnant mama dog was on a euthanasia list. No hesitation — just heart.
She quickly connected the mama, now named Noel, with the Helen Woodward Animal Center in Southern California. Safe at last, Noel gave birth to more than a dozen pups, each with a festive name: Drummer, Piper, Lord, Lady, Maid, Swan, Goose, Ring, Calling Bird, French Hen, Turtle Dove, and Partridge. A full holiday chorus of tiny paws.
Alicia shared the whole emotional whirlwind on her socials, including this letter:
Fresh music, bold entertainment, and men’s fashion—one tight email a week.
“Six weeks ago, a pregnant mama dog was scheduled to be euthanized at a shelter. I heard about it and couldn’t take it… so I started making calls. Helen Woodward Animal Center stepped in and saved her. That same day, she gave birth to 14 puppies. 12 survived. 🤍
Bear and I went to spend time with mama and the babies over the weekend… and I had the bright idea to foster four of them for three weeks before I leave for Europe..
Yesterday I did nothing but clean pee and poo, feed tiny mouths, and try to keep everyone warm and alive. It’s the sweetest, most adorable thing… and also complete insanity given everything I need to get done. Praying it was just day one energy….”
Alicia stays Alicia — heart first, chaos embraced, love overflowing.
