Sovereign, directed by Christian Swegal, is based on the 2010 West Memphis police shootings and follows a father-son duo (Offerman and Tremblay) entangled in the sovereign citizen movement. The film premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and is already stirring buzz for its haunting performances and timely themes.
