When A Queen Speaks You Listen. St. Vincent Says John Mayer’s “Daughters” Is The Worst Song Ever Written & When She's Down, Her Pick Me Up Is (The Pointer Sisters’ “Automatic”).
St. Vincent is continuing promo on her latest album "All Born Screaming" back in April. Miss Clark was a feature over at Kerrang music media looking back on the most impactful songs of her life. Check out the entire list Here!.
Some categories consist of: "The song that reminds me of school (Sonic Youth’s “Bull In The Heather”), The first song I remember hearing first
Michael Jackson's ("Bad"), and her favorite song to perform live (St. Vincent's "Pay Your Way In Pain.")
She already went viral for some dirty chat during this album cycle, calling covers of the timeless classic “Hallelujah” as “the worst thing in the world.”
But let's get back to why Mayer's is the worst. I mean we already know why. Have known for 20-plus years. Why is it the worst though? “Daughters” it’s just so hideously sexist,” Clark explains. “It pretends to be a love song, but it’s really, really retrograde and really sexist. And I hate it… It’s so deeply misogynistic, which would be fine if you owned that, but it pretends like it’s sweet.”
There you have it care bears. John should actually shuttle into space and take Timberlake and Diddy with him.
