INYIM Media Preferred Series: ‘911’ Renewed For Another Season Via ABC, After Leaving Fox.

"The first responders of 911 will keep putting their lives on the line at ABC.

The network has renewed 911 for the 2024-25 season, which will mark its second on ABC and eighth overall. The series, from Disney’s 20th Television, Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision, moved to ABC from Fox this season. The renewal comes as 911 is set to air its 100th episode this week.

The show was Fox’s top-rated drama for several seasons, and it’s picked up that mantle at ABC. Through its first three episodes of a strike-shortened seventh season, 911 is averaging 5.29 million same-day viewers (versus 4.7 million last season), and the March 14 season premiere more than doubled its initial audience with a week of streaming and other delayed viewing, going from 4.93 million to 11.76 million viewers. ABC also says that 911 is the network’s most watched current series across all platforms this season.

Fox still has a piece of the 911 franchise in spinoff 911: Lone Star, whose fifth season is set to air in 2024-25.

The drama stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Kenneth Choi, Aisha Hinds, Ryan Guzman and Gavin McHugh. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear created the series, with Minear serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Bassett, Krause, John J. Gray, Brad Buecker, Kristen Reidel, Juan Carlos Coto and Lyndsey Beaulieu.

911 is the second ABC scripted series to land a renewal for 2024-25, joining the Emmy-winning comedy Abbott Elementary. The network has also ordered a pair of new series, the Murphy-produced Dr. Odyssey, starring Joshua Jackson, and High Potential, a holdover from the 2022-23 development cycle.

Keep up with all the network scripted renewals and cancellations with THR’s broadcast scorecard." - Hollywoodreporter.com
