2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards Set Date Nominations On Jan. 8.
"The Screen Actors Guild Awards has set the date for its 2025 edition.The film-and-TV honors ceremony will stream live on Netflix on Feb. 23 of next year.Additionally, key dates and deadlines were also announced for the SAG Awards season. Submissions for nomination consideration will open on Aug. 29 and will close on Nov. 1. Producers, studios/networks, agents, managers or publicists can submit an actor’s performance, with the actor’s permission, for consideration, but actors can also submit their own performance, as long as the performance aired or premiered between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31 of this year.Nominations for the 2025 SAG Awards will be announced on Jan. 8.This will be the second year that the SAG Awards will stream live on Netflix. The streamer entered a multi-year partnership with acting guild SAG-AFTRA in January 2023 and a month later streamed the awards ceremony on its YouTube channel. This year the SAG Awards streamed live on Netflix. Previously, the SAG Awards aired on TNT since 1998, but SAG-AFTRA announced the end of that partnership in May 2022, leaving it temporarily without a home before the streamer offered it a spot.The SAG Awards will take place a week before the Oscars next year, which is currently scheduled for March 2.
