INYIM Media Corner Chat: It's The Crooked House, In England Village Lavenham.

"Behold, The Crooked House of Lavenham! Built (not crookedly) in 1395, it was originally constructed as part of a medieval hall house for a wealthy wool merchant, and during its 600+ years of existence it's seen plenty of history - from King Henry VII and Queen Elizabeth I, to The Beatles and Harry Potter. Currently, it's home to "The Crooked Men", Alex and Oli Khalil-Martin, who moved there in 2021 before restoring the place to its former glory.

Yet there's one thing that cannot and will not be changed, and that is its delightful crookedness. For better or worse, the wood that was used during construction wasn't given enough time to dry, leaving the frame to gradually twist and contort into what we see today. And for those who are interested in getting a closer look at its full wonkiness in person, The Crooked House offers tours, black tie dinners, and private dining - all of which seem a lot more "fancy" than, uh...this.

Below are a few photos of the interior for you to gawk at...free of charge! More can be seen here.

Happy Friday, hors!"" - peckerwoodmanor.blogspot.com
