This ‘Suits’ Reign Just Won't Let Up! The Netflix Purchased, Hypnotizing Drama-Lawyer Series Reclaims No. 1 Streaming AGAIN After Falling Off For One Week Because Of HBO's 'Band of Brothers.'

"After a week in second place, Suits returned to the top of the streaming charts, extending its record run as the No. 1 overall title in Nielsen’s weekly rankings. Netflix’s Sex Education also scored well for the week of its final season premiere, and a pair of HBO series joined the rankings after their Netflix debuts.

Suits drew 1.79 billion minutes of viewing on Netflix and Peacock in the United States for the week of Sept. 18-24 — marking its 13th week as the overall No. 1 in the rankings and extending its own record. In the 14 weeks since it first made the rankings, the legal drama has racked up 40.55 billion minutes of viewing — more than 9 billion minutes more than the second-place show for 2023, Bluey on Disney+ (the kids’ favorite had 856 million minutes of viewing for the week).

The series that dethroned Suits a week earlier, Virgin River, posted a strong 1.24 billion minutes of watch time, but it fell by about 40 percent week to week. Sex Education finished second among original series with 634 million minutes, a little ahead of the premiere week for its third season (595 million minutes) in 2021.

Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time (531 million minutes), Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (489 million) and Apple TV+’s The Morning Show (422 million) all improved some on the previous week, while Ahsoka (570 million minutes) was steady for Disney+. Netflix’s docuseries Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal (563 million minutes) re-entered the top 10 original series with the addition of a three-episode second season.

HBO’s World War II miniseries Band of Brothers (559 million minutes) and The Pacific (491 million) racked up a combined 1.09 billion minutes of viewing on Max and Netflix after making their premieres (on Sept. 15) on the latter service.

On the movie chart, Pixar’s Elemental had a strong second week with 1.33 billion minutes of viewing on Disney+.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings cover viewing on TV sets only and don’t include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences, not those in other countries. The top streaming titles for Sept. 18-24 are below.
