Back To The Future: It's 1990s Arcade Game "Cruis’n USA!"
"Cruis’n USA was a mid-90s arcade game that later became a Nintendo game. Sadly, Cruis’n USA wasn’t a game where you play a gay dude who cruises for trade and hot dick in The Ramble. No, it was a race car game. BORING! But still, Cruis’n USA was fun to play and took you on an epic blurry tour of America’s blurry landscape! My racing video game of choice back in the day was Out Run for obvious reasons. Out Run was 80s glamorous personified and co-starred a mega hot blonde whose hair blew in the wind as she rode shotgun in her man’s racing Ferrari convertible. Cruis’n USA didn’t co-star a racing game goddess, but it was pretty much the same as Out Run.You picked a car and raced against other cars through a one-way course in various American cities and places like San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Washington DC, Death Valley, the Grand Canyon, Chicago, Appalachia, and the Redwood Forest.Cruis’n USA’s creator, Midway, first released it in 1994 as an arcade game. A couple of years later, it was released on Nintendo 64. Here’s the trailer, which doesn’t feature a passenger seat bombshell, but well, they somehow made the trophy girl’s 64-bit chichis bounce. Also like Out Run, one of Cruis’n USA’s arcade machines was shaped like a car:
The arcade place in my hometown didn’t have that version of the Cruis’n USA arcade game. If it did, my young mind would’ve been blown, and after I picked up pieces of blown mind from the floor, I’d get into that arcade car and hog it up as a line of inpatient brats rolled their eyes while waiting for me to finish. They’d obviously roll their eyes over jealousy from watching me own that game and by “own that game,” I mean “suck at it like no one has ever sucked at it before.”" -Dlised.com
